Shotlist:A plant that makes its own anti-freeze; lobelia and groundsels as tall as trees. these are just a few of the strange plants seen during a journey from the shores of the Caribbean in Venezuela up through the dripping cloud forest to the bleak moor lands and peaks of the Andes. then across the world to Mount Kenya with its weird plants and tiny sunbirds and regions where plants and animals somehow survive in the most extreme conditions. today there is an awakening realisation that not even the seemingly invulnerable mountains are secure from man's intrusion.
